On Santelli: Smells Like Kochtopus

For those who have been previously unaware of what the Kochtopus might be:

The “Kochtopus” is a derogatory name coined by the late Samuel Edward Konkin, III, an anarcho-libertarian, for the group of libertarian organizations funded by billionaire Charles Koch.

Playboy magazine points to the Koch group as, shall we say, the groundskeepers for Rick Santelli’s astroturf — which isn’t to say that there aren’t real grassroots individuals innocently involved, but that they have (like so many libertarians before them) walked into an establishmentarian trap designed to corral their insurgent tendencies.

Lew Rockwell and his posse have first hand knowledge of the evil that is the Kochtopus and their reasons for opposing the beast go way back. That makes it particularly sad to see Karen DeCoster continually gushing about Santelli. But, then, what should we expect from someone who so easily disregards the clear implications of Rothbardian property theory, even going so far as as to cite neo-con two-dollar media-whore Michelle Malkin. She should have listened to Gonigam.
