Where’s the outcry?

Every time some young person who listens to any kind of edgy, politically incorrect music goes off and does something violent and stupid, we hear from all of the assorted lifestyle-nazis how horrible the music is. They darkly imply or, or (even more ridiculously) openly claim, that the music made the criminal psych case do what they did.

Well, where are those folks now?

Church Shooter Said Upset Over Sermon

Where are the “usual suspects”, and why aren’t they calling for warning labels on Bibles? Or forming neighborhood associations to pass out pamphlets about dangerous warning signs that a loved one may be getting into Christianity?

Why aren’t they agitating for Congressional hearings on the destructive impact of religion?

I’m not advocating that. I support the same liberties the Bill of Rights recognizes — including First Amendment rights such as Freedom of Speech and Religion.

But this isn’t about ME. I’m asking about THEM. Where are they — the ones who are so quick to blame music they don’t like and slyly try to build support for unconstitutional censorship? Why aren’t they up in arms over this and following the faulty logic they’ve put before the American public before, blaming an artistic or religious message for the deranged actions of a psychopath?

Seriously — why aren’t they?

Unless, of course, they never really believed that music was to blame in the first place — and were only seizing on isolated crimes as a pretext to attack art they perhaps don’t like. That would make sense since modern music is often iconoclastic, individualistic, rebellious and — oh, yes — contemptuous of hypocrisy.
