Security Gaffes Cited in Courthouse Spree
I was sent this story via e-mail:
Yahoo! News - Security Gaffes Cited in Courthouse Spree
The sender characterized it thus:
The deputy, a 51-year-old woman just 5 feet tall, was simply no match for the inmate she was escorting to the courtroom, a 6-foot-1, 200-pound former college linebacker on trial for rape.
And when the feminists wanted women to have equal access to jobs as law enforcement officers, and men said women shouldnt be police officers, the feminists countered with What are you afraid of?
THIS is what we were afraid of.
A 5 foot tall woman. Jeeeez…..
My take on it was a little different. Keep reading.
The really ironic thing is that if the woman he allegedly raped had been armed in the first place, he might never have made it into the court system to begin with.
I mean, there’s a genuine equalizer for you, but who have been some of the most vocal opponents of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms? Gender feminists and allied smear artists that portray legitimate self-defense tools as the dangerous toys of the macho male “over compensator” — that’s who.
I mean, the problem is not just the gun laws, but the screwed up ideas out there that have been promoted to get those gun laws rammed through. After all of the effort that has been put into teaching people about the genuine effectiveness of armed self-defense, it just amazes me that there are still women out there with this superstitious phobia of guns.
It’s funny, because I support old-school equity feminism — equal opportunity. I mean if a woman can genuinely do the job, then great.
This, however, is clearly a case of affirmative action, and the politically driven relaxation of standards that goes with it, having fatal consequences.
I also see other, cultural, issues here that are driven by… not “politics” in the normal sense exactly, but the political status quo and the negative aspects of it that most are simply blind to because they see it as “normal”.
We’re simply not as free as we used to be. Genuine freedom teaches responsibility and builds character. I believe the criminal mindset is identical to that of the slave. If that guy had grown up in an authentically free society, he might not have learned the twisted lessons in life that made him the contemptible trash that he is today.
