"Rather than libertarians gradually winning over mainstream society to our way of seeing things, mainstream society gradually winning over libertarians to their way of seeing things."

Couldn't agree more, well said. And I would add that the LP is fundamentally a minarchist party anyway (which may sound like a giant "no shit"), and that anarchist involvement with the LP is no different then anarchist involvement with the DP or the RP -- a State agent is a State agent is a State agent.

Oh, by the way, I started to comment on the page linked through your phrase "the solution is revolution." (I forgot during the registration process.) The definitions sidebar on the right goes to: http://agorism.info/konkinite_terms I would think this page should define the word "revolution." Assassinations? Bombings? Just a suggestion.

I'm a candidate, but my top priority is to talk about anarchism, not to build the Libertarian Party. I find it easier to get into discussions with people about politics when I'm a "candidate" than just an ordinary Joe Six-pack.

I'm not saying electoral politics is the BEST tool, just that it's a legitimate tool. I don't think the Liberty poll proves that the LP or electoral politics is inherently unable to advance anarchism, only that it hasn't been trying to do so. Since the day after 9-11, the LP has been denying any suspicions of anarchism the MainStreamMedia might have entertained about the LP, and has been genuflecting before the State our Savior instead.

But without the LP, it would be very difficult for me to be a candidate at all.
